Erica Gomez
Paralegal
The granddaughter of Mexican farmworkers who marched alongside Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta with the United Farm Workers Union, Erica is no stranger to fighting for justice.
After graduating from Mills College with a bachelor's degree in psychology in 2006, she began working at a Workers' Compensation law firm in Signal Hill, CA. Erica worked her way up from a file clerk to a paralegal. In 2020, she received her paralegal certificate from Cerritos College.
Prior to joining the team at California Innocence Advocates, Erica worked for the Los Angeles Dependency Lawyers (LADL). While at LADL, Erica fiercely advocated for parents whose children had been removed from their custody by the Department of Children and Family Services.
Erica brings over 10 years of experience as a paralegal and experience working with individuals from all walks of life. She is passionate about fighting for justice, while showing her clients compassion.
In her free time, Erica enjoys kickboxing, kayaking, and spending time with her family.
